I love the Super Bowl. I also love snacks. Gooey, decadent, cheesy snacks. My party go to’s hummus and carrots and chips and salsa will not cut it on Super Bowl Sunday. I can do better than that. We can do better than that.

The Today Show is conducting a snack bracket and having viewers choose their favorite snacks. As of this morning the finalists were Nachos and Guacamole but close contenders included Queso, Wings and Buffalo Chicken Dip.

Personally I love them all and we have recipes to make these favorites vegan and delicious for your Super Bowl viewing bubble:

Cauliflower BBQ Wings.

These are so easy to make and you most likely have all of the ingredients in your cupboard. We love them with celery and ranch dressing! Easy to prepare. Surprise ingredient: corn starch

SuperBowlPost-JackDip.jpg

Hot Jack Dip.

While we all love Artichoke and Spinach Dip, for something different try Jackfruit which also comes in a can and is just as easy to make. It is spicy and served warm, perfect for a Sunday funday. Good on any chip or cracker. Surprise ingredients: Jackfruit, cream cheese.

SuperBowlPost-Queso.jpg

Queso.

Our queso is made from cashews, cauliflower and butternut squash - one could argue that you are eating your veggies, too. I promise this will be your new go-to Queso. It makes a great base for loaded nachos. Surprise ingredient: Miso paste, nutritional yeast.

Nachos.

Thin out the Queso to make it more “pourable” with vegetable broth and nutritional yeast to taste. Get out your favorite tortilla chips, then load them up with queso, black beans, guacamole and salsa - the best of everything.

SuperBowlPost-Mac.jpg

BBQ Baked Mac.

When everyone is tearing into a pizza, break out our baked mac and cheese - it is cheesy and decadent. Make it on Saturday and pop it in the oven during the second quarter for a halftime feast. The cheese sauce for this recipe is also the base for the Queso. Two birds, one sauce. Surprise ingredient: Nutritional yeast.

This Super Bowl, show-up to the big game with some indulgent plant-based apps.
